A tanker exploded on saturday night in Molete , Ibadan , Oyo State Nigeria killing over ten(10) people. It was reported that the driver lost control of the tanker which made the vehicle to capsized spilling its oil content before exploding.
It was reported that a man who has his three children and wife in the car when he went to get bread all died as a result of the explosion.
It took the intervention of the fire fighting team to stop the spread of the fire which prevented more casualties .
The rate at which tanker explosion are occuring on Nigerian roads is becoming something which I think the government should do something about , it was not long an incident of this nature happen along Lagos- Ibadan Express way.
Governor Ajimobi visited the site of the accident to sympathized with those affected from the explosion. Governor Ajimobi also emphazied on the need to stop street Trading and make use of the stalls built for them ... What a tragic accident
